Fight for Farmworkers

Number of Days since the Vote:

Every minute is another minute our rights are violated

Farmworkers at Gerawan Farms were abandoned by the UFW more than 20 years ago. But now the UFW is back and wants to impose a new contract that would include 3 percent of each employee's pay or the right to fire that employee. The farmworkers opposed this action and gathered enough signatures to hold an historic decertification vote to determine whether to continue to still be represented by the union.

The ballots from this election, which took place on November 5, 2013, have yet to be counted by the Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB). Silvia Lopez, one of the workers at Gerawan Farms, has filed a federal lawsuit against members of the ALRB for denying her and other farmworkers' constitutional rights.

We are fighting to demand the ALRB count the votes and stop denying the workers their constitutional rights! Tell the ALRB: Count Our Votes!
